1 Figure It out
Before you can fix your life, you have to figure out what needs fixing. Are you unemployed? Are you feeling like you’re not living up to your potential? The first step that’ll help you get your life back on track is figuring out what the problem is, so that you can find a way to solve it.
2 Prioritize Your Goals
There are dozens of different things you can aspire to do throughout the day, but it’s impossible to do it all. That’s why it’s important to figure out what comes first, and what is secondary. You don’t want to waste your time focusing on something minor when you could be putting your energy into looking for a job or going out on dates. If it helps, make a list of all of your goals, and put them in order from most to least important.
3 Be Active
There are only twenty-four hours in the day, but you’re the one who gets to decide how many of those hours you use. You need time to sleep, and while you shouldn’t skimp on your rest, you shouldn’t sleep for a dozen hours a day either. By taking a quicker shower or sleeping for one less hour, you give yourself crucial time that can be used to your advantage.
4 Ask for Help
If you have a friend that seems to have her life put together, don’t sit there and be jealous of her. Ask her for advice. Chances are that she’ll explain that her life isn’t really as perfect as it seems. If somehow it is, then she could give you some valuable words of advice. There’s no harm in asking.
5 One Thing at a Time
If you have dozens of bad habits that you want to break, deal with them one at a time. If you try to get rid of them all at once, then you'll only stress yourself out more than you need to.
6 Be Positive
Never lose hope. If you constantly think of yourself as a worthless person, you're never going to be able to succeed. You have to believe that you have what it takes to change your life. If you're having trouble complimenting yourself, then head to a friend that will cheer you up. They're sure to have a list of aspects they love about you.
7 Keep the past in the past
Never forget that your past is a memory, and not your current reality. Everyone makes mistakes, but not everyone learns from them. You want to make sure that you use your knowledge to make better decisions in the future.
Don't settle for mediocre when you could be living a fabulous life. You have the power to do what you want with your time, so take advantage of it! What goals do you have that you think will lead to a happier life?
