When your mind is filled with unhealthy thoughts, you’re not going to be productive. You have to think positively if you want to succeed. Negative thoughts won’t keep you realistic, they’ll only hold you back. We’re all guilty of having unhealthy thoughts, but we’re also capable of getting rid of them.

1. They Need Me

Once you get used to your job or home, you won’t want to leave. However, you can’t stay in the same place for the rest of your life. You might have to quit one job to make room for another, better job. You might have to leave your home and family in order to move across the country. You can’t let unhealthy thoughts fueled by guilt keep you in the same place. Whether you like it or not, everyone will survive without you. They’d rather see you leave and follow your dreams instead of staying with them and being unhappy.

2. I Don’t Know Where to Start

You have a goal, but you don’t know how to go about accomplishing it. That doesn’t mean that you should give up without trying at all. Research your goal and take tiny steps toward completing it. Nothing worthwhile is easily achieved. You have to gather your strength, time, and energy in order to be successful.

Frequently asked questions

3. It's a One in a Million Shot

Don’t focus on how unlikely it is that you’ll succeed. Don’t tell yourself that your goal is impossible. You could be the one in a million that actually succeeds. You could be the exception.

4. It's Too Difficult to Accomplish

If you gave up every single time something was difficult, your life would be horrible. Passing your high school classes was difficult. Making compromises with your significant other is difficult. Everything has its moments of difficulty. You can’t let that get you down. Remember how many hard things you’ve gotten through, and know that you can make it through a few more.

5. I’ve Already Failed

When you fail, it can feel pointless to try again. However, failure is a learning experience. You’ll never succeed unless you keep going, despite your fears. How many people achieve their goal after trying only once? Chances are that you’ll have to make several attempts. Just remember to learn from your mistakes, and each time you’ll be closer to your goal.

6. I Have Other Priorities

You can’t push aside your dreams to focus on your love life. It’s possible to balance your career and relationship. There are only so many hours in a day, but you can arrange your schedule to fit in everything that’s important to you. You might have to sacrifice your free time every once in a while, but it will be worth it once your goals are accomplished.

7. Why Me?

Why should you get to accomplish your dreams when so many people are living lives they despise? What makes you so special? You can’t ask yourself these questions. You’re your own person. You need to focus on yourself and try to be the best that you can be. Why? Because you can do anything, as long as you try.

No one is going to accomplish your goals for you. It’s up to you to decide what you want in life and how to get it. What do you hope to accomplish?

Needed this!!!!

I needed this! I'm unhappy with my job. I've been at my job for 8 years. Those 8 years have been miserable. I got comfortable as well. I have the eye of the tiger and I will start doing what I'm destined to do.
