1. Get More ZZZs

Sleep is the time when your body recovers. Getting enough sleep will help you get up feeling more relaxed and functioning at your best. Enough time in the morning would then allow you to prepare a healthy breakfast. Having ample time and being in a good mood in the morning will help you avoid unnecessary cravings your body may develop if you lack sleep.
2. Drink Plenty of Water
Eight glasses of water is enough, but dare to drink more for a total cleanse! If you're feeling hungry, drink a glass of water because you might be confusing thirst for hunger. Drinking enough water will help you flush your body's toxins out.
3. Practice Portion Eating
Bought a meal with one cup of rice and a handful of viand? Try eating the other half then take out the rest! After two hours, grab your take out and eat it. You can also do the same thing with pasta and other chunky meals. Remember also to eat slowly. This way, you will not eat a bulk of food for just one meal and you will keep your metabolism and glucose levels balanced.
4. Go Back to Exercising
You might have been lax last year but hey, now is the time to get back on your fitness routine. You don't have the time to go to the gym? There are plenty of home workout videos on Instagram that you can try at home! Some don't even need any equipment to perform. But if you have the time and willingness to subscribe in a fitness center, then great! Workout your way through the year for a stronger and healthier you.
5. Practice Yoga and Meditation
Start your day right by having a good sleep before meditating and putting your mind in a thoughtful awareness state. This will enable you to focus on the present moment and not dwell on the unchangeable past. This way, you will have a better perspective for your year. 6. Eat Right and do Not Indulge
Eat the right proportions and always take note of your macros when eating. Make sure you eat on time and you do not indulge. I don't want to be the antagonist in your story. I know it wouldn't be a crime to eat your favorite pizzas and doughnuts but let's just say that you already know how much sugar and calories are loaded it them, so there is definitely no need to eat to much. Have the discipline to follow the diet you have set yourself for this year and...voila! Consistency and discipline will take you places, sweetie.
