1 Positive Thoughts

One of the easiest ways to put out positive energy is with positive thoughts. Instead of thinking, "Everything that can go wrong probably will go wrong," or avoiding doing something for fear that you will fail, shift your mindset and think positively. Positive thoughts can really shift your energy, in a good way.

2 Redirect Your Focus

It's easy to get down on your luck, especially when something bad happens. For example, say that you are having a really tough time with finances (that is enough to get anyone down). Instead of thinking about how much your difficult financial situation will put you in a hard spot, pick yourself up and focus on the good things in your life that money can't buy.

3 Be Optimistic

Instead of being a glass is half empty type of gal, look at the glass as being half full. When you stop having pessimistic thoughts, you will be able to start putting out more positive energy.

4 Be Kind

There is a reason why people say, "Do to others as you would like done to you" - because it's true. Holding doors open, saying kind words, being friendly and just being a nice person will certainly help you put out positive vibes and will help you change your whole view of life.

5 Stop Worrying

Worrying is completely unconstructive. Worrying about something that will happen a year from now, a month from new, a week from now or even a few minutes from now will not change the outcome; all it does is take the joy out of the moment you are in. Instead of worrying, focus on what is currently happening in your life.

6 Focus on You

Don't concern yourself with other people. Don't get caught up in gossip that doesn't concern you, or put your nose in other people's business. When you focus too much on other people, you not only seem like you are a know-it-all, rude or pushy, but you also lose sight of yourself and what you need to do to make you happy.

7 Follow Your Own Drum

I read this great quote the other day: "I'd rather be the person walking alone in the right direction than the person walking with everyone else in the wrong direction." It really struck a chord with me. Too many people seem to be too caught up in being like everyone else. In the famous words of Dr. Seuss, "Why fit in when you were born to stand out?" Do what is right for YOU, not what everyone else seems to think is right. When you do what is right for you, you tend to get more out of life and better results.
