Every girl is different – unique and special and absolutely beautiful – and we all go through different things, sure, but a lot of our experiences are universal. That's especially true when it comes to our emotions. We go through so many emotional milestones, I'm sure you'll recognize at least a few of these! If you do, give yourself a pat on the back, a congratulatory speech, or a high five, because a milestone is a milestone and you deserve serious praise for reaching these.

1 That Stage Where You Eat Everything All the Time
This might happen to you just once in your life, such as around puberty, or you might experience this milestone monthly. I totes experience it monthly.
2 Trying to Get Zen
We all experience that time in our lives when we decide to get zen. We're going to meditate, do yoga, and stop sweating the small stuff. This milestone lasts about 10 seconds for most of us.
3 Feeling Totally Dramatic
Again, this milestone may well occur more than once. Like, it might occur pretty frequently. Possibly even all. The. Time.
4 Eat, Pray, Love Time
This often occurs during your zen milestone, too. You go through a phase where all you want to do is get out of you rut, rediscover yourself, and start fresh. Okay, maybe you won't end up going to Italy or Bali, but if your big change works for you, awesome!
5 Indulging in Wanderlust
And your Eat, Pray, Love milestone? That can be connected to an urge to just go, just travel, just take off. You might travel once or a thousand times, maybe only occasionally, but the urge hits almost all of us at least once.
6 Crying over the Silliest Things
The big milestone is that eventually you will cry over THE thing – the dumbest thing you've ever cried over. Another possible milestone? Doing it publicly.
7 Listening to the Same Song over and over Again
This is a kind of recurring milestone for most of us. The song might change from one time to the next, but who doesn't know what it's like to listen to the same song for three months straight?
8 Reaching out to Connect with People You Haven't in Years
This is the “Oh crap, I got old” milestone, during which your natural inclination is to make sure everyone else you used to know got old, too.
9 Overthinking Your Childhood
Did you go through anything traumatic? Was your childhood Freudian? Did it seriously mess up your adult life? Is your whole childhood a lie?!
10 Deciding to Be Jennifer Lawrence Level of Cool
We've all been there. Here's a secret: none of us will ever reach Jennifer Lawrence's level of cool because it's hers. We will all reach our own personal level of cool and it will be amazeballs.
11 Deciding to Change Your Life and Go Running
If you haven't reached this milestone yet, don't worry. It's coming.
12 Deciding Everything is Inspirational and You Pin It All
Weddings! Birthday parties! Friendsgiving! Nurseries! Yay!
13 Deciding to Drink It All Away
This is another milestone that might occur more than once. Whatever, it happens.
14 The Self-help Phase
At this milestone, you decide that everything about your life is heinous but you can fix it yourself with self-help books!
15 Go on a Cleanse
You will go on your first cleanse. Promise. You'll do it eventually even if you're swearing right at this moment that you will never, ever cleanse anything.
16 Can't Commit to Anything – but a New Hairstyle
It's okay. We all need to realize when and where we can't commit.
17 Just Accepting It and Moving on
This is the best milestone!
What's your favorite emotional milestone? What was the worst?
