Call an Old Friend
You know that friend you’ve been meaning to catch up with, but life keeps getting in the way? Well just pick up the phone and call them! Or better yet, use FaceTime! Reconnecting with a long-distance friend not only will help your friendship, but it’s also guaranteed to put a smile on your face and is one of the top easy ways to get an instant mood boost.
Take a Walk
You’d be surprised at what a little fresh air can do for you! Use your lunch break to take a quick walk outside or maybe get a friend to go hiking with you! Either way, spending some time with Mother Nature will immediately make you feel more refreshed.
Bake Something
Because who doesn’t love some chocolate every now and then? Get out that baking pan and whisk you haven’t touched in weeks and whip up something delicious! Treat yourself to some brownies, cookies or whatever you’re craving—and you get bonus points if you share with a neighbor!
Volunteer
Using your time to give back to your community is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have. Sign up to be a tutor at an afterschool club, help your local food pantry restock supplies or simply pick up some litter in your neighborhood! Brightening someone else’s day will, in turn, brighten yours!
Paint Your Nails
There’s just something about a fresh coat of nail polish that instantly makes you feel more put together. Pick your favorite shade and add a little color to your hands! A bright red or calming light blue is always a safe choice!
Write in a Journal
Sometimes you just need to put your thoughts on paper to make yourself feel better. Writing out your feelings can help you feel less stressed and less worried. Then add a line or two about something you’re grateful for to feel more positive and thankful!

Look at Old Photos
Bring out your box of childhood pictures and remember the good times—and how cute you were! Just skip that awkward middle school phase…because there’s no need to relive those days.
Buy Yourself Flowers
Who needs a guy to do that anyway? Pick out some pretty roses or daisies and put them in a vase next to your bed. Flowers are sure to cheer you up!
Rest
You work hard, so you deserve some rest! Taking a quick nap, meditating or even just chilling on your couch for a bit (yes, watching Netflix counts too) can help calm your nerves and make you feel relaxed.
