This can be a lot of fun. She’s your go-to person when you want to share a joke or something that made you laugh. You know you can count on her to laugh with you.

2. To Understand Family Frustrations

While your spouse or friends may sympathize with you about the crazy happenings in your family, they truly can’t get it like your sister can. She knows how eccentric your mom can be or how stuck in the Stone Age your dad is. She knows about the favoritism your parents show. Whatever family frustrations are in your family, and every family has them, you can count on your sister to get it. It’s comforting to have a sibling that’s stressing over with the exact same family situation you are.

3. To Be Your Shopping Partner

Your sister can be a perfect shopping partner. She knows your style, she knows what works for you and best of all, she’s honest. You can count on her to tell you the truth when you make a fashion faux pas. She can help you find things that look beautiful on you. And you can do the same for her.

4. To Babysit in a Pinch

You can count on your sister to babysit in a pinch. Even if she’s really busy with her life in school, work or socially, you know she’ll help you out if you really need it. More importantly, you know she’ll take very good care of your children. They’re her nieces and nephews so she has a special bond with them. Special memories are made when your children have time with their aunt.

5. To Give You Advice

Most of the time, a sister has no trouble giving you advice. She’s very comfortable with you and there’s a security there that allows you to be real with each other. It’s comforting to know that she’s not going to tell you what she thinks you want to hear. She’s going to tell you what you need to hear. That’s why her advice is always the best.

6. To Share Clothes, Makeup, Books and More

Sisters are wonderful to share things with. Over the years, I’ve shared clothes, makeup, books and much, much more with my sister. You probably have with yours as well. If you and your sister can share with each other then appreciate that. There’re many girls who don’t have a sister they can share things with.

7. To Be There for You

Lastly, you can count on your sister to be there for you. You know she’s got your back with whatever you’re going through. And that doesn’t change as the years go by. Whether it’s a fight with a high school boyfriend or a healthcare scare with your child, your sister can be there to offer you support and encouragement. As the quote I mentioned at the beginning states, you’ve always got a friend if you’ve got a sister.
