It is important to know that there will always be problems. However, it does not mean that they should weigh us down and steal our joy. With these simple habits, anyone can bring sunshine back into their life: Here are my favorite things to do that will make you happy every day.

1. Have a to-do List

Start your day by writing what you want to accomplish for the day. Begin with the most important task of the day and then work through to the least important. This way you will achieve more from your 24 hours and feel happier on how you spent them.

2. Help Others

How about you help that intern get settled. See how you feel afterward. When we lend a helping hand we will feel happier about ourselves.

The key is to be honest while giving it. Next time you meet up with your bubbly friend how about complimenting them and saying, “You just light up the room.”

5. Walk

Take at least a 15-minute walk during the day to recharge your batteries. Not only do you feel refreshed but it improves your mood significantly.

You know by now that little sleep makes you cranky. Catch at least 6 hours of sleep and wake up bright and early all happy.

Put on a sexy pair of heels to look slimmer and curvier. It will come as no surprise if it cheers you up.

On the other hand, look at me; I live in a cramped apartment, my car is always breaking down, and I even don't know when was the last time I went on vacation. Let me stop you in your tracks.Comparison is a thief of joy. Do not compare yourself to others. That is the surest way to keep sane and be happy. Also, remember everyone's journey is different.

16. Stay in the Moment

These days everything is go, go, go, go, go. Stop! Be mindful of everything you do. Enjoy the moment and stop worrying about every little thing.

17. Spice up Your Romance

It is very easy to fall into a routine and get stuck in a rut. Switch things up in your love life to keep things interesting and fun. A popping relationship will make you happy.

People want people to say hello to them. However, most people do not want to be the first one to reach out and say hello. Make the first move and see how you feel.

Your friend, mum, sister, spiritual guide ... whoever you love most, and call them at least once a day. If you are going through a rough day they can help you put things in perspective and restore your joy.

Pen down what you are grateful for at the end of each day. It will demonstrate to you that your blessings outweigh your problems. Keep it for 1 year and you will never be the same. You will be a ball of sunshine.

24. Eat with Someone

Strive to have company whenever you eat. For instance, when you are going out for lunch, go with a friend. Eating with people nourishes our well being and a bonus is that you will not overindulge in the food.

25. Be Yourself

This is the most important tip of all. It will save you from wasting energy trying to be someone you are not.
