We all at some point have tried to become an extrovert only to realize that it’s a lot more work than it seems. I think that everyone has at least one friend who for some reason gets along with everyone! They resemble some unknown species that we only tend to observe from afar. Nonetheless we should follow their example, because qualities of an extrovert can carry you far in life. Here are 7 reasons why it’s time to become an extrovert.
1. Time to Build up Confidence
Confidence is one of the main qualities of an extrovert. They are not afraid to go outside their comfort zone and put themselves in different scenarios. So if you are looking for a way to become more confident, it’s time to mold yourself into a more sociable person. Once you learn to put yourself out there, you’ll be more comfortable with who you are and ultimately increase your confidence! It takes time to become an extrovert, but it’s all worth it!
2. Public Speaking
Public speaking is one skill that you will always need in life. No matter if you are in school or at work, public speaking and communication shape your character and influence the opinion other have of you. It’s no secret that having the qualities of an extrovert can help you in public speaking! If the public sees you as a more approachable and outgoing character, you’ll definitely appear more persuasive and become a focal point of the conversation!
3. Making New Friends
Although some people can start up a conversation with a stranger without even trying, others find communicating with others as a very arduous task! It’s true everybody loves their alone time, but at some point you have to stop hiding from the civilization and make yourself approachable. Making life-long relationships can not only be beneficial to you, but it can save you during difficult times.
4. Experiencing New Things
Stepping outside your comfort zone, saying "yes" to more things and becoming somewhat of an extrovert can spice up your life! You can get opportunities that you only dreamed of and gain a surplus of experience by only putting more effort in conversing with others and being more active in a circle of new friends. Becoming more outgoing can start a chain of events with nothing less than a positive result.
5. Never Feeling out of Place
I’ll admit I used to be one of those people who found it easier to just stick with a group of friends and avoid others. I realized things needed to change! Feeling alone and isolated is the worst feeling, but you are the only person who can change that. So expand your circle of friends and make new friends; it never hurts to meet new people!
6. Living with No Regret
The worst possible thing that you can do is to restrain yourself from doing something you really want to do and then live with regret. So don’t be shy, don’t be afraid of being the center of attention and try not to care of what others may think of you. Letting loose is the best feeling!
7. Adapting to Changes
It’s a proven fact that changes are inevitable. You may move to another country, start a new job, enter a new high school or college - and the best way to get through those transitions is to become an extrovert. Being approachable and more social can guarantee you to have an easier time adapting to changes in your life! You won’t feel lonely and might make great memories!
As you can see there are some serious benefits to becoming an extrovert! However, I myself know that it can be a challenge, so let’s motivate each other to improve ourselves and become more outgoing! Why do you think it’s important to become an extrovert? Share in the comments!
