Remember back in the day when turning 18 was the very pinnacle of adulthood? Well, in today’s modern landscape, that feels very much like you are still in the throes of your teenhood and young adulthood! I don’t know about you, but turning thirty feels much more like an appropriate benchmark these days. It gives you much more time to get in line with all of the expectations and achievements that people associate with being a mature adult! Here are things that every woman should accomplish before turning 30.
1. Have a Direction
I’m not saying you have to be where you want to be going at thirty, but something that is important for you to have done is to have more or less settled on a direction that you want your life to take. Pick a career lane and start working towards rising the ranks in that specific career. Thirty is nearly halfway to retirement, so you definitely need a direction!
2. Relationship Opinions
By thirty, you need to have a firm idea of what you want out of a relationship and what you don’t want. Being single is fine, but when the time comes when you do meet someone, it’s not worth beating around the bush and sticking with a guy who doesn’t match up to the standards and requirements that you have come up with for yourself.
3. Know Who You Are
You need to have come up with a full sense of you really are as a person by the time you hit thirty. It’s time to cement down your core values and beliefs, because these things start to become even more important when you are making new platonic and romantic connections past thirty.
4. Body Acceptance
I hate to break it to you, but after about twenty five, your body has peaked! Things aren’t really going to make a dramatic u-turn after thirty, so try to work on accepting your body as it is and embracing what you’ve got, rather than spending all of your time getting depressed about not having the perfect magazine bikini body.
Past thirty you really can’t get away with making bold fashion mistakes, so you need to make sure that you have a solid sense of what works for you when it comes to fashion, beauty and hairstyle. The more confident you are in what makes you look good, the more successful looks you will be able to create.
6. Life is What You Make of It
By the time you are thirty, it really helps to have the realisation that life is what you make of it. Don’t sit around waiting for good things to happen to you, but instead actively search and work towards those things. This isn’t a Disney movie, nothing comes for free!
7. Learn Lessons
Once thirty comes around the corner, you need stop just ignoring and forgetting your past problems, and instead use them as lessons to teach you how not to make the same mistakes again. Any opportunity that can help you to grow as a person should be taken.
