7 Motivational Words You Need on Your Dressing Room Mirror ...

When the going gets tough, you need some motivational words on your dressings room mirror to remind you to persevere. Words can be incredibly powerful and the language we use to ourselves and others can have a profound effect on our lives. These are my favorite motivational words.

1. Tenacity

(Your reaction) Thank you!

This is a powerful word and one we should use to remind us to keep going. We need to be tenacious in life and eat tenacity for breakfast. In fact, we should shower in it, sprinkle it on our salads and stir it into our soups. In short, we need to eat, breathe and sleep tenacity. We will get rejection after rejection but we need to dust ourselves off and carry on. There are always going to be haters and people who say we can't do it. But do we listen? No. Do we let them get us down? No. Do we let them spur us on and do better? Yeah we do!

As George Michael said, we gotta have faith. You don't have to be religious but you need to have faith in yourself and your abilities. If you don't have faith in yourself then no one else will! You need to have faith that things will work out. It might not feel like it at the moment and you might be stuck in a funk but have faith that things will work out for the best.

Love is essential. I'm not talking about falling in love, although that's great too. I'm talking about being love, loving everything around you and loving life too. Loving what you do is essential because if you don't it can be tricky to find the motivation to get up in the morning. Love is therefore a great motivational word.

4. Forgiveness

(Your reaction) Thank you!

It's easy to get stuck in the grudge swamp but forgiveness is important if we want to make progress in life. If someone has done you wrong, wish them well and move on. Don't harbour hate because all it does is consume us from the inside.

We take risks every day. Stepping out of our front door every morning is a risk in itself, as is the perilous car journey to work. Like is about taking risks and being safe in the knowledge that you took enough risks to enable you to get to where you want to be. Risk-taking is synonymous with living fully. How many risks have you taken today? I'm not talking about risking your life or anyone else's but how many things have you done which could be considered risky?

6. Strength

(Your reaction) Thank you!

We need to be strong because life has a habit of throwing us curve ball after curve ball. If we're mentally strong we have the capacity to deal with many things that are thrown our way. Remember to be strong in the face of life.

7. Inspire

(Your reaction) Thank you!

This is one of my favorite words. It comes from the latin meaning to breathe in and it encapsulates the ways in which we should literally breathe through life. Whether we're inspiring others or looking to inspire ourselves, this is a key word we should use to help motivate us every day.

These are just a few of the many words you can use to motivate you each day. Which is your favorite? What word have I missed out?
