The best way to remove them from your mind is by replacing them with other thoughts or by resolving the issue that’s causing them in the first place. So, here are a few very simple ways to free your mind that will help you change your perspective on things and which will inspire you to become the best version of you:

1

Learn to Forgive

Forgiving someone who did you wrong, or even yourself, is one of the best ways to free your mind immediately. Just don’t dwell on your past; what’s done it’s done and there’s nothing you can do to change it. Move on and accept the things that happened in your past even if you aren’t pleased with how things worked out. Release all those negative emotions and thoughts you’ve accumulated.

2

Smile and Laugh More Often

Even if you don’t always feel like it, try to smile and laugh more often, because there is a lot of research which shows that when you laugh, your brain registers the movements of the muscles in your face and it releases those hormones and chemicals that will make you feel happy and relaxed. By feeling good, you will also change the way you look at things and all those worries that keep bothering you will magically disappear, or at least seem less intrusive.

3

Meditate

Meditation has always been one of the best ways to free your mind and to clear all those negative thoughts and worries that just don't seem to go away. It’s not that hard to do it. You just have to sit comfortably, close your eyes and just allow your thoughts “to enter your mind and pass through without engaging in them”. Try doing it for at least 5 or 10 minutes every day and I’m sure you’ll soon notice the changes in your behavior.

4

Let Go of Attachments

Don’t let anything interfere with your happiness and prevent you from reaching your goals! Let go of all attachments you’ve made whether you’ve attached yourself to certain things you consider to be special or to certain people that have a big influence in your life. Don’t let anything keep you from reaching your full potential! Letting go of all attachments is also one of the best ways to clear your mind and change your perspective on things.

5

Learn to Be More Optimistic

Let go of all those negative thoughts that are always haunting you! You can actually learn how to be more optimistic. Choose to see the good in everything instead of being overwhelmed by all kinds of worries that arise because you only focus on the negative aspects of life. Your thoughts can influence your actions, so by being more optimistic, you will become a happier person with a different and a more positive perspective on life.

Men in general judge more from appearances than from reality. All men have eyes, but few have the gift of penetration.

Exercise

If you realize that you need to free your mind every now and then because you feel a bit overwhelmed by all kinds of worries, another best thing you can do is exercise. I’m sure you’re all familiar with all the wonderful benefits of exercising but in this case, the fact that you focus on your movements actually takes your attention off your worries. It also releases endorphins and lowers cortisol, thus helping you feel more positive and happier.

7

Let Go of Toxic Relationships

Let go of toxic friends or other so-called friends that make you feel and think bad about yourself. Just like Jennifer Smith, blogger for lifehack.org said “Unhealthy relationships can lead to negative thoughts and stressful states. Nourishing positive relationships will enrich your life, filling your mind with more positive thoughts and memories.”

8

Let Go of Guilt

Guilt can overwhelm you sometimes, especially when it really wasn’t your fault for what happened. Try to always remind yourself that by feeling guilty you won’t manage to make a difference and that you can’t make things better again, unless you concentrate and actually do something to resolve the issue.

9

Let Go of Self-Criticism

Sometimes, you can be your own worst enemy because you sabotage your happiness by criticizing yourself too much. Even though you think that you have the best intentions, and that you are only trying to become better at what you are doing, by always being too harsh on yourself you will only decrease your self-confidence and diminish your self-esteem.

There are a lot of things you need to let go in order to free your mind and feel happier and lighter. I just mentioned a few in this little article but I’m sure there are many more I haven’t talked about. Can you give me a hand and tell me if there are any other ways to free and clear your mind? I really like those points

You mentioned very good points. Great article. Another option is to make yourself more busy in positive activities.

I really enjoyed this.

Another technique u use is measuring an issue that's disturbing me and thinking to myself, will I even care about this the same in a couple of days, months or years from now? So let it go!!

Nice that helped
