1. Get out of Your Comfort Zone
One of the best ways to feel inspired is to get out of your comfort zone. When we get too comfortable with our daily life, then inspiration may be hesitant to strike. Everyday stresses are present, leaving less room for whimsy. Do something you would ordinarily never do! Go skydiving, go on a date with the boss’s son, or take a Zumba class. Just get out of your comfort zone!
2. Mix up Your Routine
Routine is nice, because you can know what to expect and how to plan. But routine can get boring, and boring is the opposite of feeling inspired! Shake up your routine! Go to the gym in the evenings instead of the mornings. Change your Tuesday counsel session to Thursdays. Swap out your daily Starbucks run for the new pastry shop at the corner. Switching up your routine will put you in different places at different times, allowing for inspiration to strike.

3. Bring in a Fresh Perspective
Sometimes, when you are working on something for so long, you don’t see the bigger picture. It helps to bring in a fresh perspective, so ask your friends or co-workers for their ideas and opinions. Whether you are working on a new pitch for your boss or stuck at a standstill on your weight loss, a fresh perspective might be just what you need to feel inspired.
4. Spend the Day with a Child
Children are so wonderful to be around. They are full of life, energy, love, and they are so happy-go-lucky. Steal away your nephew or niece for the day, and go to the park. Just being around that positive attitude and seeing the joy children take in the smallest of things will be inspiring and encouraging to you at the same time.
5. Try Something Brand New
As mentioned before, routine can really hamper inspiration. So try something brand new! Check out the new Greek restaurant in town, or paint your bedroom a new color. Trying something new that you have wanted to do for a while will release a rush of feel good hormones and endorphins, and make you feel more relaxed and inspired!

6. Use Nature as a Guide
There is very little in this world that can compare to the inspiration that nature provides. Even if you don’t live in an exotic or rugged place, you can still find beauty in freshly sprung flowers, raindrops on the window, or softly falling snow. Open your window for some fresh air or take a walk and hear the birds sing. Choose a new background for your computer that depicts a scene of nature that is inspiring to you!
7. Use a Form of Meditation
Meditation is one of the oldest tricks in the book, but it really works! When you can clear your mind of all the stresses obstructing it, you can think more clearly and have a more relaxed pace. Try yoga, or breathing exercises. Light a few candles, say a prayer, take a bath, or do whatever you need to do to unwind and meditate properly.
Inspiration can come from the strangest places, but often we have to allow it to happen. If you’re not leaving any doors open for inspiration to strike, chances are you may stress yourself out trying to force inspiration to occur! Don’t get dragged down and worn out due to lack of inspiration in your everyday life. Use these tips to inspire, inspire, inspire! How do you find inspiration in your daily life?
