1

Stay Motivated

One of the best tips for passing all your classes is to keep motivation running high. If scholastic achievement isn’t enough to keep you going, try planning fun activities throughout the semester to always have something to look forward to. Concerts, parties, and movie nights are a great way to take a refreshing break from school on the weekends. Having fun also makes time go faster, making the school year fly by! Just make sure you aren’t letting these activities interfere with your homework, which brings me to my next point…

2

Study

We all hate to do it, but studying is a must if you want to pass all your classes. If you can, try to change your mindset about doing homework. Don’t think of it as a chore, but rather a tool to help you achieve goals and increase your understanding on a topic. Having a positive attitude can make the daunting task more bearable. I’m also a big fan of the rewards system. I make myself study for 30 minutes, and then I allow myself to do something fun for 15 minutes. This makes it seem not as bad and I don’t feel like I’m missing out on my personal time this way. Do you have a method of surviving homework?

3

Talk to Your Teachers

Communication with your teachers is important no matter what level of school you’re in. If you’re a high school student, talking to your teachers can be easier since classes are more hands on than in college. However, if you aren’t understanding a concept or you’re unsure what a teacher wants out of an assignment, don’t be afraid to ask for help. If the entire class is struggling with something, speak up and let the teacher know. Often times, they will change their teaching tactics to be more conducive to the class. If you’re in college, it is important to attend your professor’s office hours or speak to them before or after class about material or homework you need further clarification on. Professors recognize when a student has been trying their hardest and devoting time outside of class to understanding the material and may reward you for it. I know some professors will bump a student’s grade up to the next grade level if the student has been contacting them and trying hard in the class, so it never hurts to establish a good relationship!

4

Get a Good Night’s Rest

Getting plenty of sleep is essential to performing well in school. Your brain functions better on a good night’s rest and you’ll notice your school performance increases as well. While studying is important, don’t stay up all night cramming for an exam. Sleep is just as important for doing well on a test. Getting enough sleep also improves your mood, so who knows, it may be the thing that makes homework not seem like such a big deal.

5

Don’t Procrastinate

This is a tough one. Procrastination is one of the biggest problems for students, but school is much easier if you don’t put everything off until the last minute. Not only does procrastination add unnecessary stress, but it also increases the chances that your homework may not get done correctly or worse, not at all. If you start working on assignments as soon as they are assigned, it won’t seem like such a big task the night before a big project or paper is due.

Take Notes

It is very important to take notes during class that you can refer back to later while doing your homework or while studying for a test. Most likely, you won’t remember all the important details your teacher or professor lectures about, so it’s good to have it written down so you can refresh your memory. Students who take notes tend to make better grades than those who don’t. Even just the act of writing the notes improves memory. This is one tip everyone should take advantage of.

7

Stay Healthy

Our bodies and brains work better whenever they are receiving proper nutrition and exercise. Your mind will be sharper and as a result, you will see your grades improve. Make the time to eat breakfast before class and be sure to eat a well-balanced lunch and dinner. You may get in some exercise from walking back and forth between classes, but try to squeeze some extra gym time in your spare time too. You’ll feel better and your grades will reflect that as well. It’s a win/win situation!

I hope these tips for passing all your classes this semester will help you this school year. You will be on top of your game if you follow each of these 7 steps. Don\'t skip class!

The one thing about university that sucks is the classes ;)

Love it. If you could post more or even create a school category that would be amazing. Otherwise AMAZING work.

Cool article! My tip would be not to compare yourself to others when it comes to grades especially getting back papers and exams. That way, seeing a classmate\'s higher grade won\'t discourage you,and that\'s always a possibility.
