Even though most of us believe that failure condemns us to a mediocre life because we have been taught to think that way from a very early age, I must tell you that there are a couple of reasons why it’s okay to fail sometimes, reasons you should take into account the next time you think you would be classified as an underachiever if you don’t accomplish all your goals. In my opinion, what Tony Robins said about failure couldn’t be more true and we should definitely take into consideration his words: “I’ve come to believe that all my past failure and frustration were actually laying the foundation for the understandings that have created the new level of living I now enjoy”. So, don’t be afraid to fail because failure can be the best teacher you will ever have. Here are a few reasons why it’s okay to fail sometimes:
One of the best reasons why it’s okay to fail sometimes it’s precisely the fact that you learn more from failure than from all the successes you might have. By not being perfect at what you do from the start, you can notice all those things you do incorrectly, you can learn from your mistakes and you can improve yourself. So, after you’ll manage to do that, you’ll see that you’ll be doing your job even better than when you first started. Just don’t waste your time and energy trying to cover up failure. Learn from it and work hard to reach your goals!
Once you’ll get used to failing, you won’t be so afraid anymore and you can definitely realize that you’ve earned a sort of freedom that will not make you vulnerable to defeat anymore. Everyone experiences failure at certain points in their life and even some of the most successful people in this world have been failures. Just embrace failure and let go of all your worries, fears and negativity and focus on the things you’ll have to do and on the steps you’ll have to take in order to fulfill your dreams!
I’m sure you all know that famous saying “what doesn’t kill you will make you stronger”. If you pay attention, you’ll notice that people behave differently when they experience failure. Some just give up the fight and give up also on their goals and some just become more motivated and gain incredible strength. Be a part of the second category! If you fail, just bounce right back up and push yourself even harder, so you’ll be able to accomplish all your dreams and enjoy your successes later.
People who are not afraid of failure do take more chances than those who play it safe and don’t take any risks. If you are not afraid to fail, you’ll do more things you’ll enjoy because you won’t fear the consequences of your actions that much and your courage might even pay off and help you get that dream job or help you win that contest you sign up for. Have fun and enjoy life! Don’t let the fear of failure cripple you!
Failure may help you discover new solutions to your problems, new paths you can take in order to reach your goals. Don’t be afraid to take chances and experiment new things! You might even be surprised of how easy you can solve all your problems sometimes just by allowing yourself to fail. Discover what’s right for you by pursuing different avenues!
I’m sure you’re all familiar with the sweet taste of success and you all know that warm fuzzy feeling you have when you fulfill one of your biggest dreams. Well, this taste is even stronger when you had to face a lot of obstacles in your way and when you even failed a couple of times before reaching your goal. You realize that all your hard work and all the sacrifices you had to make are nothing compared to this amazing feeling you have when you realize that you’ve accomplished all your objectives. So, don’t be afraid to fail, because your successes will taste even more sweeter!
There are a lot of great leaders who have failed before winning. They are all risk takers who have learned from failure and who don’t see it as a handicap, but as a learning opportunity. They didn’t let all those setbacks or mistakes affect their motivation and they pursued their objective no matter what. Failures only made them stronger and have helped them fulfill all their dreams. So, try to see failure as an opportunity to grow and not as a negative thing that holds you back!
I know that society has thought us that failure is bad and that we should do everything in our power to avoid it. The truth is that everyone will experience failure at some point in their lives, so why not learn from it instead of letting it affect you or even prevent you from reaching your goals.
