3 Simple ✌️ Steps πŸ“Ά to Be Chill 😌 AF ...

If you were being completely honest with yourself, you are probably someone who is wound up a little too tightly, right? I think we are all guilty of being too up tight and anxious sometimes, and you can definitely be forgiven in this current nervy political and social climate that we are living in! However, at the end of the day if you never allow yourself to let go and unwind, you are going to start suffering at hands of your own stressful nature. Here are three simple steps to being chill AF!

1. Slow Everything down

(Your reaction) Thank you!

One of the most effective and simple ways to find a little bit of peace with yourself is to find a way to slow everything down in your life. From the way you eat to the way you drink, to the way you walk and talk, be more mindful of the pace that you set yourself and work on doing things in a more measured and leisurely manner. Slowing down helps to give you some fresh perspective. After all, why are you rushing around in all areas in the first place?

2. Five Minute Focus

(Your reaction) Thank you!

This is an interesting challenge to set yourself. Find a convenient time during your day, and spend five minutes making the effort not to engage with any thoughts that arise relating to your past. Getting worked up about things that you have absolutely no power to change in the present is just an unforgiving way to become anxious or stressed. Likewise, don’t think about the distant future either. Just spend five solid minutes thinking about the present, because that is the only time period in your life that is actually under your control.

3. Learn to Observe

(Your reaction) Thank you!

Sometimes we are so vexed and hurried that we forget to look up and observe what is actually happening around us. When you have a wider perspective and view on your surroundings, it can have a really calming effect because you realise that not everything relies on you and revolves around you. It can sometimes be a weight off of your shoulders to observe other people and their energy rather than obsessing over yourself.
