I'm here to share some reasons why being single isn't the end of the world. I’ll let you in on a secret, being in a relationship won’t solve any problems. It’s not something you should do if you just don’t want to be single either. Being single in society today doesn’t have to be a bummer or a time for you to spend thinking about how alone you are. I'll prove it to you with these reasons why being single isn't the end of the world.
Being in a relationship can take away time you once had to yourself. Before you know it you’re spending more time doing things with your other that you yourself don’t necessarily want to do. I’m not saying being in a relationship is bad, but you have less freedom to do things you’d want to do at a certain time, such as traveling. That's one of the top reasons why being single isn't the end of the world.
When you’re with someone, you’ll sometimes shape yourselves based on how you act when you’re with your significant other. You could also be copying some of their behaviors and thoughts just because of how comfortable you are with them. Being single means you can further discover who you are and find out more about yourself. This is the time you should be spending to understand yourself more and appreciate everything you’ve become.
Sometimes being in a relationship means less time with yourself depending on how your relationship runs. It could mean being with each other all the time or even talking to each other all the time. But at some point, you’ll want time away from each other just to have time to yourself again. People who are single don’t have to check in with anyone or worry about what they’re going to do or say to someone else. To some, it can be time-consuming and exhausting to keep up on a daily basis.
Being in a relationship can be one of the best things going on in your life. However, it can also be the hardest thing in your life. When you’re with someone, you don’t want to mess that relationship up. This could mean not saying or doing anything stupid or unforgiving, looking at someone, or going somewhere your partner wouldn’t approve of. The fear of losing that partner is one of the toughest things people in a relationship have to go through. Sometimes it can make you worry about every little thing you do.
Not all relationships are like this, but in reality, it can happen. Some relationships thrive off of money and are based on doing certain activities or being materialistic. Other relationships expect gifts or extravagant experiences. Your funds become his or her funds and every time you hang out you have to be spending money. Well, the single life doesn’t worry about spending money on a partner. It can save you a lot of money in the bank and ultimately it can be used for something more useful, like bills.
When you’re in a relationship for a long time, you may fall in love. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but there is a chance of that love coming with a price. Not all relationships are built perfectly or under the best conditions. There can be stress, depression, or frustration along with it. At the worst, it ends with heartbreak which can cause heavy mental damage. This isn’t always the case with relationships but it is a possibility. When you’re single, you have that time to be independent and are not so vulnerable to someone else. It can give you a sense of closure, knowing you don’t have to pour everything into a relationship. Relationships can be a beautiful thing, but unfortunately, they can also be an ugly thing to endure.
When you’re in a relationship, it can make you disappear. I don’t mean like you’re kidnapped, but in the sense that you’re girls never see you much anymore because you have a partner. Some relationships manage to prevent this and prioritize time with friends to create a more balanced life. Others will draw away from it to be with their partner. Your friends want to meet your partner probably as much as you hang out with them. Being single can mean having that social life alive. It’s not the best thing in the world to have that time with your friends taken away for date night every single time. Our social lives help keep our sanity.
