Here’s the thing. We’re only human, we’re not Audrey Hepburn or Elizabeth Taylor, we can’t be fully glamorous women all the time! Keeping up that level of perfection, both physically and emotionally, is too much of a task from day to day, especially when us normal people don’t have make up teams and therapists on hand to provide professional touch-ups all the time! However, that doesn’t mean that you can’t do little things in order to boost your confidence from time to time! Here are ten ways to add glamour to an ordinary day.
If you aren’t glamorous by someone else’s standard, then why not just create your own? Only you can dictate what your own luxuries are, so don’t feel like you need to compare yourself to others all the time.
Cultivating an air of mystery can really do wonders for your glamourous reputation! If you don’t put all of your business out there, then you can leave it up to people’s imagination just how glamorous a life you are living.
Rather than making a grand statement of wealth that you don’t have, instead, invest in the small details of your home and appearance that can come together to paint a much more luxurious picture than just having one nice thing.
Even glamorous women have struggles! Work on creating your own ‘secret garden’ which is effectively a safe space under the wing of family and friends that you can confide in. Having an environment available where you can lift the weight off your shoulders is invaluable to living an emotionally glamorous life!
Don’t be afraid to edit your life to eliminate people that are holding you back from living the kind of life you want to live. Bad influences don’t just exist in school, and toxic friendships can be really detrimental.
Faking it ‘til you make it is a real thing! Try to dress the part that you want to see yourself playing more often in life, and through repetition and elevated attitude, you will start to feel more glamorous.
Try to cultivate a calmer atmosphere in your life in all of the situations that you have control over, namely your free time. Get into practicing mindfulness and I can assure you that your life will feel much more luxurious and stress-free.
Dip your toes in to the romance pool! If you are single, put yourself out there and see if you can find someone to treat you like a princess, and if you are already taken, make an effort to put some of that first stages excitement back in to the mix.
Work on learning new things and educating yourself. There is so much confidence and intellectual glamour to be found in being intelligent and learned.
Whatever you do, try not to obsess over your looks. No matter how you see yourself, I can promise you that it isn’t how everyone else sees you. Our minds like to play tricks on us.
