Lookin for some strategies for getting anything you want?
We are all different people, which means that we all have different hopes, goals and ambitions for our lives and futures. However, whether you want to be a doctor, a lawyer, a professional sports player or even a supermodel, the one thing that we have in common is that we all have to apply the same strategies in order to get what we want! Some people are naturally good at applying themselves and getting what they want with little effort, but for others, it sometimes takes a shove in the right direction! Here’s a personal shove for you with four strategies for getting anything you want.
1. Be Specific
Be as specific as you can so that you can make as specific a plan as possible. Wanting to buy your own home is one thing, but knowing exactly what kind of home, in what location, and what your budget is likely to be means that you are able to take many more steps of preparation at a quicker pace, meaning that you could get what you want a lot sooner than if you were just thinking vaguely! Being specific is one of the best strategies for getting anything you want.
2. Ignore Doubters
Under no circumstance should you be listening to anybody who doesn’t think that you can achieve your desired goals. It takes a lot of guts to chase a dream, and any negative energy that is directed your way from supposed friends is not something that is going to be helpful. Don’t necessarily end relationships over this, but let them know that their input on this specific goal is not needed or wanted.
3. Be Proactive
The longer you spend wishing and dreaming about something, the longer you will go without actually having it. There is nothing to say that you can’t put plans in motion whilst still trying to figure out the end game. If everybody started something after knowing all of the possible permutations and consequences, then nothing revolutionary or successful would ever get done! You should be in the frame of mind that you would rather take a leap of faith than stick to uninspired, miserable safety.
4. Don’t Obsess
It might be hard, but try not to obsess over your goals to the point where you are no longer living your life in the present. Trying too hard can almost be as bad as not trying at all. By all means, be brave and be bold when the time calls for it, but this shouldn’t be at the expense of everything else that is going on in your present day life.
