Think about What You Want
A vision board can be a way to evaluate something you may want in your life or where you want your life to go. Vision board goals can include materialistic items or they can be goals for the next steps you want to take in your life. Figuring out what you want is one of the first steps to creating a vision board.
The Huffington Post suggests you focus on life goals rather than materialistic items when working on your vision board. “Your vision board should focus on how you want to feel,” Huffington Post says. Think about what you really want and then include it on your vision board.

Think about What Inspires You
Vision boards can also express and reflect your thoughts. Your favorite book quotes, music lyrics, or movie script lines can also be displayed on your vision board. The content on your board represents who you are and what is important to you. If you have a role model or someone who you aspire to be, you can include them on the board too if you would like.

Gather Supplies
When choosing the board, you can go with what you think best suits your personality and taste. Different board options could be anything from wood to poster board. If you are a photographer you can tape your own pictures.
In addition, you can gather pictures from the internet or magazines.

Decide the Design
Be creative when you think about how you want to place the images on your vision board. For example, you can create a collage with your pictures and images.You could also place the photos in groups on your board. If you have several photos you can overlay the photos on canvas.

Place the Vision Board Where You Can See It
Make sure you will be able to see the vision board. “When you create a vision board and place it in a space where you see it often, you essentially end up doing short visualization exercises throughout the day,” Huffington Post explains.
