Looking at my life I have learned secrets to lifelong happiness. Some of these secrets I live, eat, breathe and sleep, while others are a work in progress. Each day I learn more about the ways of the world and how to make each day better then the last. As a business owner, mother of three, an avid runner and lover of life I have plenty of secrets to lifelong happiness to share with you.

1 Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff

Do not fret over the spilt drink, that you are running late for an appointment or the five extra pounds you are harboring. Take a deep breath and try not to sweat the small stuff. The stress you may have in your life is minimal if you have good health so take a deep breath and relax. This tops my secrets to lifelong happiness because it works!

2 Be Proud of Who You Are

Okay so maybe you do not have the best genes and weight is an issue for you, stop stressing and work with what you got. Wear flattering clothes for your figure and make sure you exercise and eat healthy. Stand tall and proud because good posture can make you look ten pounds slimmer. And just be proud of you who are!

3 Do Something Special for You Each Day

Do something special for yourself each day. It can be as small as sitting to have a cup of green tea, taking a bath, or even getting a manicure. How can anyone love you if you do not love yourself first? Take care of yourself because you are important and you are worth it!

4 Focus on Your Health and Fitness

When the most successful people are surveyed on what helps them balance their lives, the majority attribute this to fitness. Regular exercise helps you to balance your life and manage your time more effectively. So focus on your health and fitness to achieve a balanced and fulfilled life!

5 Surround Yourself with Positive People

Have you ever heard of the saying, “birds of a feather flock together?” If you hang out with like-minded friends the energy is contagious. I always swarm myself with positive people because it makes for a much more fun experiences to share. And I enjoy watching the similar way my friends view the world. If someone is down, we always know how to cheer them up and look on the bright side.

6 Give a Helping Hand

Help a neighbor in need, donate some clothing to a local drive, help others when you can. It can be a minor as supporting a local running race but your help goes a long way.

7 Make the Most of Each Day

Make the most of each day by doing all that you can. If you manage your time well you can follow all my secrets to happiness and you will feel fulfilled! Take a few minutes to stop and look at the world around you. It is a beautiful world and sometimes we are so caught up in all the chaos we have trouble making the most of each day!
