7 Risks to Take before You Die ...

By Holly7 Comments

Some people refuse to take risks, because they're scared of the outcome. However, you have to ask yourself if you'd rather take the risk you've been thinking about or if you'd rather allow your life to remain exactly the same as it is for the rest of eternity. Which is the better option? You're the only one who can decide which path to take in life, but most of the time, your risks will pay off. Here are a few that you should definitely take at some point down the line:

1 Follow Your Dreams

If you want to be a standup comedian, you can always quit your current job and go on the road. If you don't want to be that bold, you can at least take a few days off to audition for America's Got Talent or to practice at a bar that allows amateurs. It doesn't matter how small the risk is as long as you just do something. If you don't, you'll regret it when you're older.

Frequently asked questions

2 Ask Him out

You always stand on a certain line so that the hot guy will bag your groceries. Well, it's about time to ask him out. If he tells you he already has a girlfriend or that he's just not interested, you can always visit the store down the street. It's not that big of a deal to get rejected. You'll feel better about yourself if you at least try.

3 Go Bungee Jumping

Okay, it doesn't have to be bungee jumping. You should go on any type of adventure that appeals to you, but also scares you. Maybe you want to hike up a mountain. Maybe you want to explore a cave. Do something physical that pushes your boundaries, but be smart about it!

4 Call Him up

There's someone you haven't talked to in years that you miss. Maybe it's the love of your life. Maybe it's your father. Whoever it is, pick up the phone and give them a call. They probably want to hear your voice as much as you want to hear their voice.

5 Go on Vacation

Save up your money and splurge on a trip across the ocean. Go to whatever country you've always wanted to visit, even if you can't speak the language. The best way to learn is by being around people who speak it, anyway.

6 Invest Your Money

If you're interested in the stock market, invest at least a small amount of your money in it. If your friend needs money to start up a business and you believe in her, help her out. Being stingy with your money could be smart, but it could also be a mistake.

7 Whatever Makes You Happy

You've probably been thinking about a specific risk that you've been dying to take, but have been too scared to try. Well, if it'll make you happy, you have to do it! Stop doubting yourself and go for it. You know you'll be mad at yourself if you keep putting it off.

A life without risks is just plain boring. Don't settle for what you have when you could earn so much more! What's the biggest risk you've ever taken? If you've never taken one, what risk are you currently debating whether or not you should take?
