It's time to start a new list of New Year’s Resolutions. It's helpful to write down your plans and consider your long-term life goals as well. By doing this, you'll be more focused and a list will remind you of what needs to be done still. If you want to plan your year ahead, don’t miss these ideas of New Year’s Resolutions.
One of the most popular New Year’s resolutions is weight loss, but it is better to focus on eating healthier. A skinny person is not necessarily healthy and can be at the same risk as an obese person. Also, eating healthier is a long-term process that leads to more permanent results. You don’t need to be radical and cut all the yummy stuff. For a start, you can try reducing the intake of sweets and see how it goes.
I usually finish the year regretting that I should have spent less on trivial stuff. If you already save money every month, keep the good work. An idea to plan how much you want to have next year is to review your expenses and think of ways to spend less and save more. If you don’t have a savings account, open one and establish a fixed amount to deposit every month. You will be surprised on how disciplined you can be and how much you can save by the end of the year.
How many of us have spent more time on social media than we expected or wanted this year? Although Facebook and Whatsapp are communication tools, they differ from real interaction and can affect relationships. May 2019 be a year of more real pokes and hugs and less online messaging.
Don’t wait until it is too late to try new things. The beginning of the year is great to make travel plans for instance. A good friend of mine has decided to visit a new place every month, and it does not necessarily mean traveling far and spending a lot of money. Exploring a neighboring town or even a museum in your city is already somewhere new.
Exercising plays an important role in being healthy and regardless of your resolution being to lose weight or not, this should be in your list. Exercising is good for your physical and mental health and enhances the quality of your sleep.
Self-improvement should always be included in one’s New Year’s Resolutions list because it is important to aim for more and excel at anything we do. A hard-working employee has higher chances of being promoted and a diligent student will indeed score more in tests. These are only simple examples because it is possible to reach excellent results in practically every personal and professional area.
If you are a parent, you will want to spend more time with your baby before he/she grows up and become a rebellious teenager. If you are someone’s child, don’t wait until it’s too late. Time is precious and one minute more with a loved one adds to your sweet memories. We don’t need to wait long to express our feelings, so let’s show more love next year!
This year has passed in a blink of an eye, but I have done and achieved most of my New Year’s Resolutions from last year. I am glad for everything that has happened so far and I look forward to 2019. What are your New Years’ Resolutions?
