Break Patterns

The only way you are going to change your attitude is to change the patterns that you have been following for a long time. The moment you start to do things differently in your life, it will start to give you a different outlook. Sometimes all it takes to get out of a self-hate or low self-esteem funk is to force yourself to gain a new perspective.

2

Conviction

It’s easier said than done, but at some point, you just have to show some conviction and decide that you are no longer willing to continue this war with yourself. Sever ties to the habits that used to bring on your negative attitude, and see if it makes a difference.

3

Consistency

Be consistent with the upkeep of your new habits, because the moment that you stop actively working on your new found happiness, you will run the risk of slipping back into your old ways and thought processes and insecurities. Think of it as almost a battle between Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. You need to put in the hard work and commitment in order for Dr. Jekyll to keep the door closed so that Mr. Hyde can’t get in and ruin your house!
