Get Up and Keep Going
You're staring at the ceiling,
Trapped between these walls,
But you can't erase the feeling,
That you've been here before,
All the lies that they have told you,
Come crashing like a wave,
And as it drags you under.
You know you can't be saved,
If there's beauty in the breakdown,
You're the most beautiful of all,
But the higher people lift you up,
The harder you can fall,
The fear of what could happen,
Steals the light out of your eyes.
In a world of broken people,
It's not hard to realise,
That though this world is still turning,
All your bridges are burning,
And there's nobody there by your side,
And though the light shines bright,
They can't warm up the night,
And they can't wipe out the tears from your eyes.
Moving on and getting over is one of the hardest things you have to do in life. Especially if it's with someone you saw your future with. So you have to move on right away. Get your closure from them and tell them everything you ever wanted to tell them, how much you love them, how much you hate them, etc. So you will have no regrets or what if's. Then tell them goodbye forever. If they let you leave without a fight for you, then they're not worth it anyway. It's going to hurt like hell. Allow yourself to be sad, to be angry. But you have to wake up every day and continue your life without them. It's always easier said than done. So just let time heal your wounds. This is a time for you to heal. Take care of your heart. One day you will wake up and you won't miss them anymore.
