7 Deep and Thought-Provoking Questions to Think about ...

Have you ever had a moment when random questions pop into your head and the more time you spend dwelling on those thought provoking questions, the more they blow your mind? How much do we really know about the world and ourselves? Do we have complete control over our lives? Keep on reading for 7 deep and thought provoking questions that could take you awhile to think about.

Pictures

Have you ever looked though your pictures and saw strangers in the background? Who were they and what were they doing? It really makes me wonder how many strangers have me in their backgrounds and how many times I’ve been a part of their memories. I could have been present during one of the most important moments of their lives without even knowing it. So imagine how many people have a picture with you in the background framed in their living room and how many people you are connected to without even knowing it. This is one of the most thought provoking questions that really makes you wonder.

2

Memories

If you had to make a choice between erasing all of your past memories or never making any new ones again, which one would you choose? On one hand, you’ll forget your childhood, the way you were brought up and any other valuable memories that you might have been cherishing of people who are now gone, but on the other hand you would only live with those memories without making new ones. Would you give up the memory of your grandmother in order to always remember your wedding or the birth of your child?

3

Déjà Vu

In French, déjà vu literally means ‘already seen.’ How many of you have experienced it before? It is as if somebody is replaying the memories that you have long forgotten and you are aware of it. Now many psychoanalysts believe that déjà vu attributes to a simple fantasy or a wish fulfillment, psychiatrists claim that it is our brain mistaking the present for the past, while parapsychologists state that those moments are due to past-life experiences. So what is this déjà vu, which most of us are so familiar with?

4

Death

Would you prefer to know the exact date, time and place of your death or live on without knowing when that moment will come? Will knowing the details of the last moment of your life change how you live it now? If you think about it, you will no longer be afraid to take chances and will be able to plan everything that you want to do before you hit the brakes. However, what if that day is closer than you think? You’ll have to come to terms with not being able to plan years ahead and most likely waste a good chunk of your time stressing over what you know will come.

5

Ideal World

We live in a world in which war, conflict and hurt are prevalent, but how would our life change if there were never violence or misunderstandings? After all, isn’t that what we all long for, to be able to live without fear of crimes, violence or upheaval? However, we don’t know if we need the bad to balance out the good, so does the ideal world that we all strive for already exist or is there another possibility to our everyday life?

Aliens

I am not completely aware of all the scientific information we have on extraterrestrial life, but it really makes me wonder if there are more dominant creatures that exist. As of now homo sapiens are on the top of the food chain, we basically dictate the world around us. However, do we really have complete control or are there other worlds similar to ours?

7

Health

Would you rather spend 10 years of your life living completely healthy or live 50 years of your life with health complications? If you choose the latter, you won’t be fit enough to completely participate in all life activities with no restrictions, yet you will be able to observe your children and witness the birth of your grandchildren. But is living a long life with health restrictions better than living a short life to the fullest? You’ll be able to push yourself to the extremes and really know what the world has to offer. You’ll be able to travel and see the world. So what is it going to be?

There are two sides to all of these situations with their own pros and cons, but if you were coerced to make one decision, what would it be? Choose one situation and explain you position!
