Life Lessons

One of the ways to embrace life's challenges is to learn from the experience. Remember, there are no bad experiences, just lessons and tools which we can arm ourselves with in the future. We can use these to help us get better at what we do and who we are. There are certain things that we just can't control in life and when you learn to let go, things become easier to deal with.

Make Time for You

Making sure that you have time to do the things you enjoy and to look after yourself will make it easier for you to embrace the challenges that you're faced with along the way. I have an experiment I would like you to try. Bear with me. Grab a sheet of paper with writing on it and hold it at arm's length. It looks clear, doesn't it? Now bring it closer to your face until it's touching your nose. It doesn't look so clear now, does it? The writing's all fuzzy, isn't it? Well, that's what your problems are like when you're so immersed in them that you can't see any way around them. Stepping back and making time to do the things you love will help you to see around the challenges you may be facing in life.

3

Positive Affirmations

I love a good positive affirmation, especially in the morning. They can make you feel so empowered and ready to face the day. Use positive affirmations every day to help you feel amazing and to help you achieve your goals.

4

Talk It through

Talking your problems through with someone can help you deal with life's challenges too. They say that a problem shared is a problem halved. It can be helpful to articulate a problem because once you do, it can make you see that the problem perhaps wasn't so bad after all!

5

Journal

Journaling is another helpful and empowering tool. Use a journal at the end of the day to write out your thoughts and feelings about what has happened in your day and to set out your goals for the days ahead.

Famous Quotes

Love is like a friendship caught on fire. In the beginning a flame, very pretty, often hot and fierce, but still only light and flickering. As love grows older, our hearts mature and our love becomes as coals, deep-burning and unquenchable.

Be More Mindful

We're so busy rushing from A to B that we forget to just be! Mindfulness isn't just about meditation, it's a way of life. When you're in the shower, check that you're in the shower. It sounds silly but perhaps you're not really in the shower, you're actually going through the entire day in your head while you're showering. Well, you're doing it wrong! When you're in the shower, enjoy the shower. When you're emptying the dishwasher, concentrate on emptying the dishwasher. Being more 'present' will enable you to feel more empowered and capable of dealing with life's challenges.

Deep Breathing

We do it every minute of the day and without it, we wouldn't be able to do much. If someone held your nose or held your head under water, you would relish the next breath you took, wouldn't you? Next time you're feeling overwhelmed by life's challenges, breathe in deeply for a few seconds and breathe out for the same amount of time. Concentrate on your breathing and feel it as your body begins to settle and relax. Enjoy breathing. After all, it's a free gift!

These are just a few of the ways to embrace life's challenges like a pro. Do you have any other tips to share?

Where Thoughts and Opinions Converge

Awesome post! It's what I needed to hear. The challenges I had to deal with today were so exhausting. And usually I can handle it really well but today It got really overwhelming. It helps to know how to deal with things better externally. Thanks so much for this

Great post! Wish I had read it before I ventured into the World of adulthood. I just thought I was supposed to figure things out silently and all by myself. I think talking to family and friends and asking for help are the most important lessons I have learned. Well, that and learning from my mistakes.

Thank u
