This was the title of one of her books, but eventually it was changed to edit out the β€œstupid” bit.

Smart people are able to keep things simple.

A fun example is how the US spent $100 million on a pen that could function in a zero-gravity environment, and how the Russian cosmonauts used a pencil.

The story is an urban legend, but it nicely explains Judy’s point.

If you read up on Occam’s razor, you will learn that simple theories are preferable because they are more testable.
