There are times in our lives that are exciting and thrilling, and times that are well…kind of boring.

These moments can make you feel unfulfilled or empty, but no need to stress.

You can take action and fill these moments with joy and meaning.

The steps are actually really simple, too.

1. Helping Others

This might be the most obvious tip, but that’s because it really works.

I know that whenever I spend my time helping another person, it puts a smile on my face.

Whether you volunteer at a pet shelter or cook a meal for a friend, doing something for someone else is a great use of time.

2. Finding the Good

Some days, it is hard to find something exciting to be thankful for.2

But I always try to find something to celebrate in a day and write it down.

If you write down one good thing that happened a day, your outlook will improve.

It can be as simple as being thankful to breathe!

Make it a habit and see where it takes you.

3. Exercising

Doing the same thing every day can get really boring really fast.2

That’s why it’s good to break up the routine and get active.

Whether I decide to do a yoga class or just take my dog on a walk, exercise always makes me feel better and more fulfilled.

It’s also good for you, so it’s a win-win.2

4. Understand Your Feelings

Sometimes we can avoid how we feel because we don’t want to deal with it.

Trust me, I’ve done it.

While this may seem easier, in the long run, it can weigh you down!

That’s why I like to really dig down into myself and evaluate where I stand and the reasons why I feel the way I do.

Being in touch with oneself is a great feeling.
