1

Break-ups

Break ups can be painful and at the time we can feel as though our world is tumbling down around us. But maybe that person wasn't the right one for you or you just weren't in the right place to be together at that time. Take comfort in the fact that everything happens for a reason and there is someone else out there for you. Break-ups happen for so many reasons but rather than wallowing in self-pity, look at the ways in which you can benefit from the situation and find that sliver lining.

2

Job Loss

Losing a job might feel like the end of the world but there are many people who have said that their job loss was actually the best thing that happened to them because it meant that they were finally forced to follow that life-long dream. Job losses are of course tough but you will find something bigger and better and will be able to finally pursue those dreams.

3

Promotion

So, you didn't get that promotion you wanted so badly and that you felt you deserved. You have been working so hard but the boss just hasn't recognized your sterling efforts at work and the fact that you have been working late in the office. Perhaps it's time to look for another job. If you didn't get that promotion it's not the end of the world. Maybe it's time to look for another job or maybe this event will make you more driven and determined.

4

Losing Yourself

Perhaps you feel lost at the moment and just don't know where you're going. All that has happened is that you have taken a different fork in the road and this will lead you to another exciting place. Maybe you feel depressed and anxious about life and where it's taking you. Be safe in the knowledge that this will pass and you will be able to use this seemingly negative situation in a positive way in the future.

5

Money Loss

We have all heard those phrases which highlight the fact that money is super important in life. After all, it makes the world go round, right? Well, what if I said that losing money or being short on cash could actually be a blessing in disguise. What seems like the worst thing in the world can actually mobilize you into action and make you see things in a different way. Maybe you were once frivolous with cash but now you're super careful. Maybe your loss of cash has meant that you're able to think of new and innovative ways to make more money in life.

Not Getting into the College of Your Dreams

You have been studying hard and everyone has chosen their dream college to continue their studies in. But what if you didn't get a place? What might seem like the worst thing in the world could actually be a blessing in disguise. I have spoken to many people who were devastated that they didn't get into their first choice of university or college but they all say that they are glad with the way things happened in the end and couldn't be happier.

7

Rejection

Rejection can come in many forms. Maybe you have been rejected by that special someone you thought might be the one. Maybe you didn't get that part in that show you auditioned for or maybe you weren't picked for a particular team. Whatever the reason for feeling rejected just remember, it's not rejection, it's merely redirection. I am a firm believer that the reason these things happen is because there are bigger and better things waiting for us.

It's time to start looking for the silver linings because there is one in every bad situation. Has anyone else had any experiences with blessings in disguise?

Looking back at the hard times in life, I've realized it always has some benefit and good, weather it's small or big. Looking at life this way has helped me a lot the the things I struggle with.

#2 is awesome and true hadn't my previous job let me go I wouldn't have the job and promotion and raise I have now !!! :)

This is absolutely true.. At the end of the day it all works out.

I can definitely relate to more than half. You have to work hard to get things you want. If there's a bump in the road, it just means it wasn't for you. Besides, life isn't supposed to be easy.
