7. Ride out Your Bad Mood

There are days when no matter what you do, you just canโ€™t seem to change your bad mood.

The psychotherapist Ashley Eder, says that when that happens to you, just โ€œAcknowledge it, befriend it, and wait,โ€ and โ€œGive yourself permission to make yourself comfortable, whether that means watching old episodes of Gossip Girl, playing Angry Birds, or by taking a nap,โ€.

Being in a bad mood is never fun, but you donโ€™t always have to understand why you are in a bad mood to change it.
