At times life can get overwhelming and it can be hard to find healthy ways to cope with everything thatโ€™s going on.

That's when you need coping mechanisms for when you're overwhelmed.

Sometimes we tend to shut down and procrastinate on anything that weโ€™re currently doing because we feel that whatโ€™s going on around us is controlling our lives.

Recently I have been feeling quite overwhelmed with 5 different things that are happening all at once.

So here are some coping mechanisms for when you're overwhelmed.

1. Take It One Day at a Time

Itโ€™s important to remember that we donโ€™t have to take in all of the information in one sitting.

Itโ€™s best to split up the workloads and take it one step at a time.

Do a little bit of what you have to do each day.

Only focus on the present and what youโ€™re going to do now.

Donโ€™t stress yourself out by jumping ahead to an unseen future.2

Stressing about the future wonโ€™t make the present any.

If not you will be miserable.

Taking it one day at a time is the single best of the coping mechanisms for when you're overwhelmed.
