You Learn from Your Mistakes

You might think that your friends or family members are saying this to you just to make you feel better, but putting everything aside, this is the complete truth. You won’t be able to learn and evolve into who you are meant to be if you don’t face failure once in a while. Striving for unrealistic expectations is self-damaging and you will only destroy yourself in the process. Take every failure as a lesson and use it to your benefit. It is one of the secrets to life after all!

2

Things Happen for a Reason

You might not believe this but every event in your life, the good and the bad has led you to where you are now. There is a reason why you have to sacrifice and give up some things in your life. You won’t always have everything the way you want them to be, but take everything as it comes and let fate decide what happens from here on in.

3

Time Heals All Wounds

Despite the pain and discomfort you might feel after something tragic has happened, time will heal your wounds. It might take years or it might take weeks, but you will learn how to deal with things at your own pace. Eventually you will be okay with what has happened and you will find happiness. Sooner or later, you will be able to move on from tragic losses and misfortunes. Don’t give up on yourselves or others.

4

Laughter is the Best Medicine

Laughter is not only good for your soul but also for your health. Studies have shown that laughter decreases stress levels, reduces blood sugar levels and promotes healthy aging. It is nothing to joke about. Laughter and happiness have their own magical healing powers! So next time you are feeling down, turn that frown upside down and you will momentarily see that it will make you feel better.

5

If It is Meant to Be, It Will Be

Stressing about future outcomes will not help anything. Sometimes things are way out of your control and all you are left to do is wait. Therefore instead of giving yourself a hard time, realize that some things are not up to you and if something was meant to happen, it will happen. Maybe not now, but it will turn up in your near future.

The Grass is Always Greener on the Other Side

No matter where you are or what you have, you will always feel like it is not enough. You will find that things that you don’t have are better, but that is just human nature. In order to lead a happy life, all you have to do is to learn to appreciate the things that you have. Yes you might not have the most expensive car or luxurious home, but you can’t live life comparing yourself and your belongings to others. There is absolutely no point.

The Early Bird Catches the Worm

In order to get somewhere in life, you can’t be passive. You have to be ambitious, you have to set goals and do everything that you can to improve. Things will not just fall onto your lap; you have to work for them to be rewarded. So if you really want something, show it in your actions!

You don’t have to look far to find the secrets to life. They are just hidden behind the everyday sayings we call clichés! What are some clichés that are true in your opinion?

Where Thoughts and Opinions Converge

the grass isn't always greener on the other side. sometimes you just have to water your grass and it'll be green.

Really cool article. Spot-on.

1 & 2- strongly believe in #2. It may be that we don't have everything we want = boring life. Instead life isn't how we expect it to be - meet interesting people > more discoveries. A point on #6, not everyone wants the most expensive car/ house. Some only want what is functional; condo at a medium price, car which can get you where you need to go at a good pace > might be able to go travelling or enjoy expensive hobbies.

So true

Great article

You get what you pay for

Soooooo true!

The grass may be greener on the other side, but their water bills are higher too! Either be content with what you have or work harder for more.

#3 is Sooooooo true
